Dance, music and poetry meet each other in this physical, English/Finnish bilingual exploration of Adrian Goldman’s writing.
Driving towards the rain/Ajaen kohti sadetta is a unique bilingual poetic/movement/music physical encounter that breathes through Adrian Goldman’s writing of the last 22 years. The work evokes the mundane, insignificant, frail moments that nevertheless make us who we are. Who is it that we encounter in going back to those moments; a (past?) version of our self, or a fellow traveller? The movement of two dancers and the sound of the clarinet interact with the poetry. Space is given for sound and movement to emerge in the moment. Parts of the poems are rendered in Finnish, inviting the viewer to feel how lived moments resonate in two languages.
"With this world, this lawn, this us, this very breath
Frailed as a quillet of philosophy
Improbable as a dream
As the breath you might have taken –"

HOW TO FIND US
The NoName Theatre is at Hietaniemenkatu 7 B in Kamppi. The entrance is technically on Lapuankatu, past the K-Market. Ring the "5th Floor" buzzer to the left of the blue gate under the "Keskisuomalainen Osakunta" sign. The main door will probably be unlocked, but if not, ring the fifth-floor buzzer by the door. Once inside, take the elevator up to the fifth floor.
ACCESSIBILITY
There is an elevator to the fifth floor. Unfortunately, the premises do not have a wheelchair accessible bathroom.
