Daniel has been in his role for almost a year but wasn't expecting such a formal review, given that the role in question is 'boyfriend'. In an emotional scene, he and his girlfriend Sophie argue about the nature of love and relationships, and check how theirs bears up to cold scrutiny. Is he meeting expectations, or is his job on the line?

It is Fat Tuesday in Venice, the last day of the Carnival. For a week, Alan and Clio have feasted on the celebrations and on each other's company. Tonight they meet in the booth of an intimate bar, secluded in the Dorsoduro district. They meet to talk about the beauty of the Carnival, about the joy they had, and to contemplate the big questions: How far should they take the masks off? What happens next? What is the respectable number of Rossini cocktails?

A brace of actresses working through Taming of the Shrew Act 2, Scene 1; the fight scene. Who seduces who? And how does one tame a Shrew in 2023? They need some help; step forward the Muse of the Stage – for it is he. You will laugh, you will cry, you will sing along. The whole world’s going crazy, but can the Kates work out their differences?

Superheroes – you just can’t get away from them. They’ve had a stranglehold on the film industry for almost twenty years and some people have even attempted to be real-life superheroes. The ‘hero’ of our story starts out with similar dreams – but before creating his superhero identity, maybe he should ask himself why our society is so obsessed with the superhero?

SCHEDULE
The doors will open 30 minutes before the start. Please arrive in good time – due to the setup of the stage the doors will be locked at the start of the show and latecomers cannot be admitted.

HOW TO FIND US
The door to the theatre is the first wooden door to your left right after you go through the black metal gate at Korkeavuorenkatu 17. The doors will open half an hour before the advertised start time of the show. Pls follow the signs/posters.

ACCESSIBILITY
The entrance is down a long flight of stairs and there's no elevator or stairlift.

Welcome to open auditions for our October production, A Person of the Year by Jarkko Mikkola, on Wednesday 7 June 2023. This dark, one-act comedy is set in the editorial offices of a lifestyle magazine. (Please note that you must book an audition time in order to participate.)

ROLES
There are six roles available for actors of all ages and genders.

AVAILABILITY
You must be available for all of the final rehearsals and performances in the period 2–21 October 2023. Rehearsals will start in earnest in August, although the team may also meet up before then. (Please note that performance dates cannot be moved to accommodate actors' schedules.)

HOW TO PREPARE
You will receive a copy of the script when you register. There is nothing to prepare in advance. During the auditions, you will read some scenes with a partner after having some time to familiarise yourselves with the scene.
