ABOUT THE PLAY
Spider Webs is a comedy revolving around the central character of Dr Limprandy, a wheelchair-bound psychiatrist, and his interaction with three patients. The three patients - Sister Absinth, Bunny and Lulu - each have unique issues to deal with, which Dr Limprandy attempts to help resolve. Sister Absinth questions her faith and seeks advice on her religious dedication. Bunny is a young man dealing with his inability to express his emotions. Lulu is a transvestite confused about his sexuality. The two remaining characters are Pink, Dr Limprandy's cat, who teaches him about life and love through philosophy, and Nora Bloom, Dr Limprandy's girlfriend, who comes and goes throughout the play, reciting poetry relevant to the scene. The stories of the three patients develop over the course of the play, which concludes in a musical finale with everyone coming together in song and poetry.
