Celebrating Finland's national poet is an annual event we mark by heading to Tervasaari and reciting poetry. Feel free to join in by bringing any poetry you wish to share (not just Eino Leino), or just drop by to hear some being read.
Feel free to bring a friend, a bottle and something to snack on. You can find us on the left side of the island, nearby the 'amphitheatre'.

Welcome to the Finn-Brit Players 2013 summer picnic at Tervasaari on Saturday, 15th June!
This year’s theme is ice-cream! What is your favourite ice-cream? How does it display your personality? Is it sumptuous Chocolate Ripple, tangy Lemon Meringue, playful Tutti Frutti or something else? Let yourself be inspired by ice-cream and dress/accessorize accordingly.
Mölkky and Pétanque are also back! Who will be the Mölkky champion this year? You can also bring some games of your own if you like.
There will be free bubbly for the first people to arrive at the park when we start at 2pm. But… when it’s gone, it’s gone! So better be there on time!
As usual we will have some snacks available, but feel free to bring your own as well as a friend to celebrate the summer with us!

What: The Shakespeare Doth Grow in Age Party

Spring is in the air, birds are singing, the sun is shining, and the world seems like a better place. Come and join us to welcome spring in the theme of Shakespeare. As we celebrate spring and Shakespeare’s birthday, we invite YOU to become part of the festive programme.
You can prepare a short performance based around Shakespeare, recite one of his works, or some other work that is inspired by him.
Or just come and enjoy the merry company of fellow Finn-Brit Players.
We will be serving some wine and party nibbles, but you are also invited to bring your own refreshments.

You are invited to the Finn-Brit Players' Annual General Meeting on 26 January 2013, at 6 pm
It's time for the Finn-Brit Players' membership to convene for the most important Players' event: the AGM, where the future of the association is decided: membership fees are set, a new committee is elected, the old one evaluated and the new budget adopted. This year, we will continue last year's successful format: food and FREE DRINKS (alcoholic and soft!) will be served!
Please come along and have your say. The society belongs to its members, and this is the best chance to voice your opinions - an active society needs active members. And if you would like to run for committee, fill in this form, have your nomination signed by two other members of the Finn-Brit Players, and return it to a committee member at the start of the AGM.
Members for 2012 are eligible to vote at the meeting, after which annual subscriptions for 2013 will be due. The membership fee will be decided at the meeting. Please note that new members may not be registered for a period of two weeks before the date of the AGM. See you on 26 January!

What: Murder Mystery Evening
When: Saturday 15 December at 7 p.m.
Where: FINNBRIT, Fredrikinkatu 20 A 9, Helsinki (Map)
Millionaire business tycoon Mr Black will be holding his annual Christmas party, but by the end of the evening, someone will be dead… and it’s your task to find out who dunnit.
You are invited to be a private detective. Observe and interact with Mr Black’s other guests – Colonel Mustard, Miss Scarlett, Professor Plum, Mrs Peacock, Mrs White and the Reverend Green – and try to identify the murderer. There will be a nice prize for the cleverest detective.
Mr Black will be serving some wine and party nibbles, but you are also invited to contribute to his spread.
Entrance fee EUR 2, payable in cash at the door.
NOTE This is a participatory murder mystery evening, not a performance!
